    The oversight of the main Trust Board, who take the legal and statutory responsibility for the Trust and its schools

    Access to the Trust's in-house governance and administration colleagues, including our Head of Governance and Compliance

    Support and guidance through the conversion process and beyond

    Consultation in regular reviews of the Scheme of Delegation

    Legal advice and support as required

    Guidance and support through complaints processes

    Support for Headteacher recruitment

    Inspection preparation

    HR support for issues related to staff performance and other matters

    Leadership of the Headteacher’s appraisal process

    On-going school improvement support

    Support with managing clerking arrangements (the Trust has some shared clerks who work across more than one school)

    Membership of the Confederation of School Trusts

    Training and development – a regular source of information and guidance; online and face-to-face.

    Annual Trust-wide information and training events

    Regular Chairs’ meetings with the Head of Governance and Compliance

    Trust email addresses, SharePoint and website

    Use of the Trust's agreed policy framework

     

    What is not included?

    Access to local training and development opportunities – for example, we do not buy into local authority governor services collectively

    We are constantly reviewing our services with our academy governors and welcome feedback.
