    LOVE

When we speak of LOVE, we want to embrace all in our community – this is about ‘Jesus-like’ compassion for our children, families, staff and others, in line with the vision of our diocese: ‘Making Jesus known’. It is about celebrating diversity and enabling inclusion.  We strive to achieve the highest standards because we want the best for everyone.

The greatest of these is love
    1 Corinthians 13:13

    HOPE

By HOPE, we mean entering each day with an expectation of a great today and an even brighter tomorrow. What we can achieve, not only now, but in the future. It enables us to lift our eyes above the present, even when things are tough, encouraging us to go beyond expectations for all of God’s children.

    A better hope
    Hebrews 7:19

    JOY

When we know JOY, we are excited about what we are doing in the pursuit of excellence.  We collaborate with others. We celebrate success. When we feel sad, we find a deeper joy in being together, and in the presence of God, knowing we are never alone.

    Rejoice in the Lord always
    Philippians 4:4

    Promoting British Values

The Department for Education have published guidance expressing the need “to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.”  Within the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust we seek to promote these values through our Trust vision statement and the vision statements of the individual academies within our Trust.  Our curriculum approach ensures that these values are addressed frequently through RE, personal and social development, behaviour and reward systems and circle time, as well as through collective worship and extra-curricular activities.

As an organisation, we will actively challenge pupils, staff or parents for expressing opinions contrary to the above values.  All our staff have undertaken PREVENT training, so they are alert to the need to respond to potential extremism and radicalisation.
